When The Foundations Are Destroyed

"If the foundations are destroyed, ...what can the righteous do?" Psalm 11:3 The Lord established America. America was the bastion of righteousness in this wicked world. Every founding father acknowledged God; every ivy-league college started as a seminary. The Word of God was entwined in all gatherings everywhere. Even on the currency was printed "In God we trust." It is not so anymore; these foundations are being systematically destroyed. One of the first foundations to be destroyed is the union of church and state that was the norm in the days of our fathers. The first amendment to our Constitution says: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, OR PROHIBITING THE FREE EXERCISE THEREOF;" This IN NO WISE intends the separation of church and state. It directs that the government: 1. Shall not establish one religion as the religion of the country 2. Shall not PROHIBIT the FREE exercise of religion. If our founding fathers knew what America has done to the first amendment, they would roll over in their graves, for exactly what they intended has been twisted to say the very opposite. Interestingly, it is only the Christian religion that America is prohibiting the FREE exercise of. "Help, Lord, for the godly man ceases! For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men." Psalm 12:1 There aren't many faithful left. Faithful Christians are in the minority. But even so, they are commanded by society to tolerate all expression of unrighteousness, under threat of punishment. Surely, SURELY this was not the intent of our founding fathers, they would be appalled if they saw the wickedness being forced today upon our country. vs 8: "The wicked prowl on every side, WHEN VILENESS IS EXALTED among the sons of men." Who could have said it better? Truly VILENESS IS BEING EXALTED and the righteousness punished. But one thing the wicked cannot do is prevent the church from assailing the gates of hell. "...on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it." Matthew 16:18 As the darkness intensifies, so will the light of the Spirit of God in every believer. Wickedness cannot prevent the Spirit of God from reaching out and drawing in the unsaved. This is the generation about which the Word of God has spoken so much. There are great promises, and there are great warnings. This is the generation that will see the full expression of the Satanic will. "Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.” Revelation 12:12 Satan knows the Scriptures, and he can read the signs of the times even more accurately than we can. And in his realization of all the signs pointing to the end, he comes down in a strength never seen before. And of course the main object of his raging hatred will be believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, hence the attack on all that is holy. Or ...WAS holy. Those whose eyes are able to discern the times, see the great Tribulation approaching. Jesus said that that time will be worse than anything the earth has seen or will ever see after: "For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be." Matthew 24:21 Tribulation greater than anything the world has ever experienced. No more warnings, it will be the time of the wrath of God upon an ungodly world. "He himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God." Revelation 19:15 Come out of the wickedness that is taking over our world. There is still time to come out. The great Tribulation is near, don't risk it. I plead with you, don't wait until it's too late. Those who wait will live in eternal regret. “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues." Revelation 18:5 Come out and be saved!
