The Door Is Soon To Close

"For the day of the Lord is great and very terrible;

who can endure it?"

Joel 2:11

Truly "The Day of the Lord," called in other places "the Great Tribulation," draws near. The signs of it are all on the scene together. In Matthew 24:21-22 Jesus said it would be a time of tribulation upon the entire earth greater than has ever happened on earth before or ever will after it. A time of absolute horror. "For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be."

Interestingly, the Book of Revelation mentions that it will be a time of beheading. (Revelation 20:4) A few short years ago, we couldn't have imagined that, but now, we already see it happening.

Jesus gave the signs that would indicate the nearness of that time: wars, rumors of war, earthquakes, famine, and pestilence (diseases), all happening in the same generation. Every generation has had its great war, or great famine, or great earthquake. This is the generation in which all these things are happening concurrently. He further defined that generation as the generation in which the fig tree, the symbol of Israel, would bud. It is in this generation that Israel, which was scattered throughout the earth, is now being regathered to the ancient land of her forefathers and has become a great nation once again.

Scripture tells us that during the great Tribulation there will be a global government and a global religion. Those very things are now forming right before our very eyes. The "New World Order" is coming, and the Pope of the Roman Catholic church is reaching out to protestants, to Muslims, and to all other religions in a bold move to unite them under one umbrella, Rome, and incredibly, they are uniting. Who would ever have believed....? It's all here folks. The picture the Bible paints not only in these passages but in many, many more - it's all before us, ready to go. We're living in a man-made pandemic, a tool they are using to bring in their agenda. The time of the great Tribulation is about to begin. A time of trouble such as the world has never seen or ever will after it. "...such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be." Before judgment, the Lord sends out warnings and in this generation there have been many warnings sent out. God has raised up men to signal the approaching great destruction to come upon America and indeed, upon the whole world. God has raised up many all saying with one voice, "repent, seek the Lord, get right with God because the Great Tribulation is imminent but there is still time for you to be saved and protected from it; but once it begins the time of mercy is over." vs 12-14: "'Now, therefore,' says the Lord, 'turn to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning. so tear your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and he relents from doing harm; who knows if he will turn and relent...'" Put down your pride and your stubborn willfulness, they will only destroy you. Humble yourself before the great God who put you on this earth. Seek the Lord now with all your heart. Turn to him in deep, heartfelt repentance. No matter what your past has been, you will find him gracious and merciful and he will extend great kindness to you. His heart is open to you right now, but that's about to end, just as it ended on the day that Noah entered the ark. Until now the Lord has relented, but he has made it clear just as he did in the days of Noah that the relenting is almost over. Turn to him now while there is still time. Who knows on what day it will come? It could be today. The first time the population of earth was destroyed was in the flood of Noah. Scripture says that the next time it will be by fire. Is that why, in this generation the nuclear armaments have been created? Any one country on earth now has the ability to destroy the world. "For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which THE WORLD THAT THEN EXISTED PERISHED, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, ARE RESERVED FOR FIRE until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men." 2 Peter 3:5-7 Scripture says Noah was "a preacher of righteousness." He had preached for many years, but finally that day came and the time of mercy was over. The door was closed. They all perished. "Seek the Lord WHILE he may be found, call upon him WHILE he is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon." Isaiah 55:6-7
